How fast will a truck actually get to me?
Depends on where our closest truck is and what else is happening on the corridor at that moment. Dispatch gives you the real number, usually somewhere in the 25 to 40 minute range for the Lakeland area on a normal day. During a major incident with every truck committed, we tell you that honestly instead of a number we can't hit.
What does a tow actually cost?
A local tow inside Lakeland or Winter Haven runs $85 to $135 for the hook-up and base mileage. Roadside calls like a jump-start or lockout run $45 to $80. Longer hauls, winch-outs, and accident recovery cost more depending on distance and complexity. See the full pricing page for every range.
Do you work with insurance companies?
Yes, for accident recovery calls we accept direct-bill with many carriers and provide an itemized receipt for the rest. Ask dispatch about your specific insurer when you call.
What information does dispatch need from me?
Your vehicle type (make, model, and whether it's AWD or 4x4), your exact location or nearest mile marker and direction of travel if you're on I-4, and a brief description of what happened. The more specific you are, the faster we can quote and dispatch.
How do I pay?
Cash, debit, or credit card on the truck. No checks. Insurance direct-bill is available for qualifying accident recovery calls.
Can you tow my car if I'm not with it?
We need to confirm you're the owner or authorized to have it towed before we move a vehicle without you present. Call ahead and we'll walk through what's needed.
What if my car is in a live travel lane on I-4?
Get to safety first if you can, and call 911 if you're blocking traffic in a dangerous spot. Our driver works with Florida Highway Patrol or the Polk County Sheriff's Office to stage safely before touching a vehicle in an active lane.
Do you tow outside Polk County?
Our regular zone covers Lakeland, Winter Haven, Auburndale, Bartow, and the Plant City edge, plus the I-4 corridor through the county. We don't run long-distance interstate hauls beyond Central Florida, ask and we'll tell you honestly if your destination is out of range.
